Aisling Manning

Born in Co.
Louth, Ireland in 1985 into a musical family, Aisling Manning commenced her violin studies at the age of six at the
Royal Irish Academy of Music, Dublin. In 2003 she joined the class of Detlef Hahn at the Guildhall School of Music
and Drama where she completed her Bachelor Degree and is currently undertaking a Masters degree in performance at
the Royal Academy of Music, studying with Mayumi Fujikawa.
As a performer, Aisling attempts to maintain a balance between her
solo, chamber and orchestral engagements. She has performed solos at festivals in Europe, most recently
Festival International Music Navarra, Spain, Kuenstlerhaus Boswil festival, Switzerland and Festival
Classique au Vert, Paris Parc Floral. Her Irish string quartet has performed at major musical festivals,
including the internationally acclaimed West Cork Chamber Music Festival founded by the RTE Vanbrugh Quartet,
the Volger Festival in Sligo and in Lauderdale House, Hampsted. In 2008, Aisling toured America, France and
Ireland with Camerata Ireland under the baton of Barry Douglas. Future engagements include and invitation to
perform Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3 with the London Irish
Symphony Orchestra in April.
