Harriet Murray

Harriet Murray (violin) was awarded a scholarship to study at Trinity College of Music with
Gina McCormack. Harriet has been a recipient of a number of awards and prizes including the Winifred Gale
Prize, Guildford Symphony Orchestra Jellinck Award and Surrey County Council Award for Exceptional
Contributions and Achievements in Music.
She has participated in masterclasses with Robert Cohen, Gordan Nikolic, Itzak Ravkovsky, Ani
Schnarch, Jan Repko, David Ying and Rivka Golani. She is a member of the Gemini Trio who perform regularly in
and around London. Harriet has performed as a soloist with orchestra, La Muse et La Poete’ (Violin and Cello)
by Saints Saens, Bruch Violin Concerto No.2 (2nd mov), Prokofief Violin Concerto no.2 (1st mov), ‘Schindlers
List’, and the Bach Double Violin Concerto which she performed in the ‘Dvorak Hall’ in Prague. Last year,
Harriet attended ‘Bowdoin International Music Festival’ in Maine and took part in an identical twin project
at ‘Dartington International Music Festival’.
She has been principal 2nd of Jersey Chamber Orchestra and Dartington Festival Orchestra. She
has recently been working on a project with Film and TV composer Michael Omer. She has also performed with
the Jackie Dankworth quartet. Harriet is currently studying for a Master of Arts, at the Royal Academy of
Music, with Tomotada Soh.
